Homecoming Rally Moved To Rec Sports Facility
Fire Marshal Rules Haas Pavilion Not Ready for Sept. 24 Event

Posted September 22, 1999

Cal's Homecoming Rally on Friday, Sept. 24, originally scheduled to take place in the new Walter A. Haas Jr. Pavilion, has been moved to the Fieldhouse in the Recreational Sports Facility.

The rally, which will feature head football coach Tom Holmoe and the Cal Band, will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Because such a large crowd is expected, the Berkeley Fire Marshal determined that Haas Pavilion could not be used for the Homecoming event since several areas of building are still under construction.

The men's and women's basketball season ticket sale will be held on the front steps of Haas.
